Note on measuring chelating ability(CAI): Weigh out 1.000 g of potassium pyrophosphate and dissolve it in exactly 100 ml of distilled water to prepare 100 ml of 1% solution. Titrate the prepared 100 ml solution with 1% silver nitrate solution. Stir until the white precipitate cannot be completely chelated. Record the volume of 1% silver nitrate used in titration. This volume in ml is the index of chelating ability of potassium pyrophosphate.

Product Characteristics:
1.It has excellent chelating ability to Cu2+, Sn2+, Ag+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Cr3+, Ca2+, Mg2+, and other multivalent ions. The white precipitate from adding 2.5 ml (min)of 1% silver nitrate into 100 ml of potassium pyrophosphate can be rapidly chelated to form a clear solution.
2.Plating solution has excellent polarizing ability and current distribution ability. Fresh plating solution does not need to go through electrolysis procedure and can be directly used for electroplating. While electroplating, it has the following advantages: fast plating, smooth plating layer, regular, fine, tight, and no cavity crystal structure, stable plating solution, strong anti-interference ability, and simple maintenance.
3.It has strong dispersion ability to finely distributed solid particles.
4.It has stable pH buffering ability.

Application: It is used as chelating agent in non-cyanide electroplating.
